Answers to Dwt Gt to Ldt

Lightweight tonnage or shown as ldt
Basically the weight of the ship or vessel with no cargo, or any other external weight.
The Ldt is mainly used when vessels are negotiating a scrap value.
Guessing the size of the vessel is of little use as the weight of the steel used in it's construction can vary from ship to ship, even if two ships are the same length or breadth etc.

For some of the scrapped vessels, information is not available on LDT. For these vessels, LDT is estimated on the basis of a unit conversion factor based on the DWT of the ship.
